Why is
it we have stated funded money available? Where is the money coming
from?
All companies pay taxes and a portion of these taxes go
to a fund to help California's company remain here and have their employees
up to date in their skills. California employers pay
$7.25 as Employment Training Tax for each employee on an annual basis. Funding
for this training is provided by the State of California's Employment Training Panel (www.etp.ca.gov). ETP uses these funds to provide training to raise the
skills of California
employees. As you can see, your company already paid for this training by paying
the annual Employment Training Tax for each employee. This is one of the rare
occasions when you see a direct and value-added return on taxes
paid.
How does IDT benefit from this?
How do we get paid?
IDT gets
reimbursed for the training we provide to California employees under this program. IDT
is a for profit California Corporation.
What is
the purpose of why is the State of California offering this
program?
The
State needs California companies to grow and be
competitive, as well as to continue to provide employment
opportunities. They do not want to lose jobs and businesses to other states and
other countries. When employees improve their skills, their jobs become more
secure and wages increase. With higher wages, workers put more money into the
State economy as well as pay higher state income
taxes.
What is
the limit of employees that a company may send to this
program?
There is
no limit to the number of employees a company may send. Since California employers pay the annual Employment
Training Tax for each employee, all employees meeting the right and eligibility
requirements below are entitled to free training.
This is
too good to be true! Are there any downsides?
In every payroll you do you are paying for this training, take advantage of
this offer to elevate the production skills of your employees. If you choose
to take advantage of this program, you will join thousands of companies who have received this state
funding program.
If you pass on this opportunity, you will continue paying any way
into this fund every year and not getting anything in
return.
If the
training is state-funded, how about the quality?
IDT hires
top notch instructors with certifications and years of teaching experience.
We'll be happy to give you past students’ references from 100s of corporations
that we have trained. Your organization is also welcomed to audit our classes to
find out the quality of training provided. Just because the training needed
might not be fully paid by you, does not lessen our
commitment.
